Overview

We are excited to invite you to join us at the 3rd annual Reenergize conference on results based management in the public sector. The conference will be a full two day event on the 4th and 5th of May, 2009 at the Banff Centre in gorgeous Banff, Alberta.

What will this summit explore?

This year's theme is Collaboration across Jurisdictions in Results Based Management. Under this theme we hope to identify and explore solutions to the challenges faced in successfully planning and implementing initiatives that cut across ministries and jurisdictions. Topics will include:

  • Understanding and leveraging the experiences with collaboration and demonstrating results with cross-ministry and inter-jurisdictional public sector initiatives.
  • Engaging and motivating people in the pursuit of priorities within and beyond ministries.
  • Exploring strategies to improve the state of collaboration.

This year the provinces of Alberta and British Columbia will be joined by Saskatchewan, Manitoba and the Northwest Territories governments and we look forward to hearing about their efforts in pursuing effective results based management.

Who will be attending?

Results based management leaders and practitioners, in particular, those representing provincial, federal and territorial government departments or ministries, Crown Agencies and the broader public sector including regional authorities, non-profits and local government.

How is this an Environmentally friendly event?

The Banff Centre is committed to being a leader in environmental management practices, especially as an organization located within a UNESCO World Heritage Site. This is reflected in many ways including recycling materials and supplies on site, using bio-degradable cleaning products and carrying out retrofits to be energy efficient. Combined with a host of other environmental stewardship and conservation initiatives, this has resulted in a four-leaf rating from the Audubon Green Leaf Eco-rating Program.

Arrangements can also be made to travel in groups from the Calgary Airport to Banff with either Banff Airporter or Brewsters, to reduce greenhouse gas emissions associated with this part of the transit.
